History
Writing History Together at 28 Shevchenko Avenue
The building at No. 28, now home to Modern Art Hotel, appeared in the city of Lviv in 1897. It was constructed to designs by architect Yakiv Ballaban for engineer Karl Zygmunt Richtman, with sculptural decoration by Bronislaw Soltys. The hotel restaurant Hrushevsky Cinema and Jazz once housed a cinema.
